Review of Jonah Hex (2010) by Jordon R — 03 Jul 2012
Definitely not a good film. Has many bad performances, including Megan Fox as a wooden prostitute, John Malkovich doing John Malkovich in a disturbingly bad Southern accent, and Michael Fassbender as a not-so-wisecracking Irishman sidekick guy.
But Josh Brolin holds this movie together as best he can, as it rides through its gritty Pshing Daisies meets bounty hunting plot, and Megan Fox provides desperately needed eye candy. I admit that I (guilty) rather enjoy myself, perhaps due to the sheer ludicrous-ness of all the goings on.
So, in summation, for me it was so bad, it was kind of enjoyable. Perhaps that's because I read the reviews before I watched it. If you're forced to endure it, maybe you should do the same.
