Review of Johnny Mnemonic (1995) by Jim W — 15 Aug 2010
Like almost every movie attempting to cash in on the technological craze in the early 90s, this film was dated before it even reached the theatres. What makes this all especially irritating is the moronic handling of a plot that could have at least been interesting in the right hands.
Instead, we're treated a punch of poorly staged shoot-outs and some piss poor acting. Thankfully, Reeves found the right role by switching from cyber punk to cyber noir a few years later.
