Review of Johnny Guitar (1954) by Vic B — 30 Nov 2007
Deliciously camp western which puts a spin on all the stereotypes of this most masculine of genres. One of Joan Crawford's best, what with all the face-offs between her and her rival Mercedes McCambridge (whose character seems full of latent lesbian lust for Joanie) the guys hardly get a look-in! Swoonsome theme song by Peggy Lee, too!
