Review of Johnny Guitar (1954) by Sarfaraz A — 13 Sep 2012
Johnny Guitar a Western film directed by Nicholas Ray. Based on the novel by Roy Chanslor. Starring Joan Crawford, Sterling Hayden, Mercedes McCambridge, and Scott Brady.
So this film has got duel between two women. It started rather interestingly, and I was squeezing out as much fun out of that opening scene as possible; and I said to myself 'hell, yeah this is going to be a film to remember'. My humble expectations began to fall apart because of how the film was unlocking. This is first film I saw starring Mercedes McCambridge, and aside from her role (which is mean and bothering) she looked real witch with those funny facial expressions.
Just fairly good enough to be entertained with some western film, not a big deal huh.
