What a flick! As others have reviewed, this was a favorite when I was younger. I watched it a few years ago, and it had lost some of the shine. Part of that was due to the fact that those I was watching with had never seen it, and didn't have that nostalgia to run with.
Ma Kelly is a great character. Johnny walks the line between gangster and Robin Hood. I would still recommend that you at least give JD a chance.
