It was fairly good, right up until the end. There is no way he didn't shoot himself, given the set-up, and it would actually have made a better ending from a didactic point of view. What is our obsession with happy endings to obviously unhappy stories? Are we just chicken? At least he went to jail - I figured they'd just drop all the charges and send him home unscathed, and me into diabetic shock.
Some of the political commentary dialogue could have been better written, too... Sounded like a commercial for the Democratic party... Still, love Denzel...
