A fun, frenetic, crazy, Cronenbergian horror-comedy from Don Coscarelli. If it doesn't quite live up to the head trip thought experiment philosophical thematic and narrative fun of the first act, it at least delivers a fun, exciting, unpredictable ride with some cool, old school practical effects.
