Review of John Dies at the End (2013) by Jonathan M — 07 Mar 2013
A crazy, scary good horror/comedy that goes its own pace and way that will leave u impressed and short for words in what you just saw. Arguably the most original horror movie I've ever seen, this is about two guys who run across a drug named Soy Sauce which opens their minds to access the other half of their brain to see other things people shouldn't see.
The adventure turns out of control and for the strange as they use the powers given fron the drugs to stop a full alien invasion. The film is to warn u, quirky, wacky, and just plain nuts that will Scott Pilgrim, Ghost world, and other films like a run for its money.
I strongly recommend seeing this film as it will probably be one of the top ten films you probably won't be able to see but should. From watching the trailer, you can tell how this film is going to pan out but I loved it so much that the decent CGI and make up effects don't ruin the movie for me as I thought it went well with the atmosphere the plot brings and you should try to roll with it cause the parts with Paul Giamatti are the scenes that keep the film from falling apart.
So my final grade is "B+" for I promise this will be a cult classic when its all said and done. Hell I wanna buy the movie right now.
