Solid. Kinda gets a little meh at the end, but still enough there to be an overall win. I don't know a thing about the book but will check it out now, Coscarelli I've been a kinda fan of his since Phantasm, still need to watch Bubba-Ho-Tep in its entirety (I have it but never got a chance to see it, could just stream it now I guess), great adaptation and direction, I really love the line "Eyes Wide Shut World", genius.
