Review of John Dies at the End (2013) by Bill M — 12 Jan 2014
An instant cult movie, JDATE, is a wildly inconsistent and rough around the edges film, it feels unfinished, incomplete, the filmakers run out of money at the end and this is very evident as the budget just doesn't measure up to the big insanity of the climax and the film overall can be frustrating, but let it take you along for the ride and you will experience an almost indescribable weird-fest, and a future druggy classic, a mix of naked lunch, big trouble in little china, bill and ted and with a big helping of awesome tv show supernatural thrown in.
Watch it and let the great creature effects, mad humor, bad trip visuals and freewheeling plot melt your brain. "Fascinating".
