Review of John Dies at the End (2013) by Carl L — 10 Feb 2014
The most detrimental aspect of John Dies at the End is it's all-too-often omission of elements from it's source material. The story constantly stems off on many branches of surreal nonsense, but because of the film's lack of the more in-depth elements that remain in the novel, the branching of said stems is never fully realized, leaving a sense of dissatisfaction in the viewer.
