Review of John Carter (2012) by Daria B — 08 Jan 2013
"John Carter" is a fabulous movie--beautifully translated from the classic action/adventure tale and full of heart. Sure, it was marketed poorly in the US, but it was a major hit everywhere else on the planet, breaking box office records across Europe, China and Russia.
In the US, it became a mainstay of the second-run cinema circuit for a whopping ten weeks after its original run, playing to packed houses night after night and then went straight to No. 1 on DVD/Blu-ray worldwide.
If you missed it on the big screen, you really blew it--it was spectacular--but it will look gorgeous on your giant flat screen TV, too. Don't listen to critics: Listen to a worldwide audience who loves "John Carter!".
