By using Strummer's own voice for the central narration of the film, Temple presents a candid, intimate view of this influential musician. The archival footage and celebrity interviews are great treats for Clash fans, but I was most impressed with learning about Strummer's evolution as an artist after the breakup of the band.
I walked away with a newfound appreciation for Strummer's talent and ethos.
