Review of Joe Dirt (2001) by David T — 30 Mar 2017
Probably one of the better films that Happy Madison produced and that starred David Spade. "Dickie Roberts" was pretty good but this has more power. Maybe because this doesn't have Spade playing a character with a dry wit.
Spade's trademark and Joe Dirt is the complete opposite of that. It's a breath of fresh air for those that like Spade. Roger Ebert hated this film but gave credit to Spade for trying something new.
There are some laughs and you meet some cool characters. It's the white trash Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
