A modern masterpiece. Nicolas Cage is mesmerizing and a revelation in an oscar worthy performance. Tye Sheridan proves himself as one of tomorrow's biggest star coming off a similar toned movie "Mud".
It is gritty and sometimes hard to watch but it is amazing. Gary Poulter is also amazing as a drunk father in a would have been star making performance for a character actor but he is no longer with us.
The script is fantastic and definitely should get awards. I am excited for more people to see this gem. One of the best movies I have seen in a while.
