Excellent performances (including the appearances by local non-actors) and evocative scenery. There may not have been a full-on episode of Cage Rage, but Nic does remind you that when he's good, he's very very good (to paraphrase an old rhyme).
Furthermore, the young Tye Sheridan was such a natural - outstanding really. I believe we will see great things from him in the future. The non-linear story segments were a little bit confusing, and some scenes were hard to watch, but I would still recommend it on the whole.
