Review of Jobs (2013) by Mark D — 16 Feb 2014
2 things wrong: 1) felt like a narrated documentary without the narration (needed narration for this type of production...in other words, not a good production). 2) I have nothing against Ashton Kutcher, but, as Steve Jobs he's totally wrong for the part. I couldn't finish because he is lackadaisical (that is just who A.K. IS, the way he comes off), I can't take his role seriously here, (as he doesn't).
If it had been narrated, it might have helped this production. (Maybe?).
I don't know if they got the details right, but, I just felt like I was watching Ashton Kutcher being all too happy to do this and the movie seemed to emphasize entertainment above all else. I didn't feel like I had an inside view to Steve Jobs's life at all, which is what the title suggests. I'm surprised this is a Universal movie...but, maybe an independent would have done better with it.
