Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Anthony S — 11 Apr 2012
A very engaging look into the life long contribution to Jiro Ono on making sushi both an art form and a certain delicacy (something he does differently than countless others). The documentary is filmed beautifully capturing the intensity of Jiro himself as well as bringing about thoughts towards global problems (the decline in fish per year), philosophical approaches to ones culture and self, as well as producing sushi in a not so simple way as it is to eat it.
Very engrossing.
