Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Lionel C — 23 Aug 2012

I'm not even the biggest fan of sushi and I found this movie delectable. Non-Japanese folks may find Jiro's self discipline / OCD'ish-ness scary, but the man is truly remarkable.

Anyways if you are a sushi or documentary fan you will probably love this movie. The text can sometimes pass you by if you're not 100% focused. Jiro's message of picking a craft and mastering it for the rest of your days seems to only make sense if you love the craft. I think what he means to say is make sure you love your job or else you won't be dedicated to perfecting it. Sorry plumbers...
