Review of Jinn (2018) by Francesco R — 20 Nov 2018
Beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, and a strong story about girlhood told through the lense of the talented Zoe Renee. This movie is one that should inspire empathy from adults who have forgotten what it was like to be a teenager.
And it gives a rare glimpse into Islam as we follow the journey of Jade(played by Simone Missick of "Luke Cage") as she finds a place for herself in the world. Excellent work by Kelvin Harrison Jr, Dorian Missick, Kelly Jenrette, and Hisham Tawfiq.
This is a movie for anyone and everyone.
