The protagonistï¿ 1/2(TM)s layered with struggle with religion, sexuality, her relationship with her mother, and the complications of friendship/sisterhood in this social media age create high, personal stakes for Summer and the audience.
Loved this film, and love that itï¿ 1/2(TM)s indicative of emotionally complex and intelligent storytelling that audiences and people need more of.
