Review of Jingle All the Way (1996) by Ken C — 20 Jan 2013
Original review: 100%.
After giving this a second look, I must say that it was pretty exhausting to watch. It's quotable, yes, but it's mostly just Arnold running into one unfunny gag after another with an annoying Sinbad at his side and bad acting from all of the supporting characters, excluding Phil Hartman.
There are a couple chuckles to be found, mostly because Schwarzenegger still tries hard and delivers some of his lines like he would in some of his action movies, but aside from that the movie is nothing more than just a badly directed Christmas comedy, filled with slapstick, jokes that may be too inappropriate for kids, and exhausting pacing.
Still, I can see why some people would like it. I guess it has somewhat of a charm to it.
