Review of Jingle All the Way (1996) by Mimi S — 20 Jan 2014
The story is a bit silly and a typical clichéd Christmas movie, but it's a really fun film to watch at Christmas. You've gotta love Arnie! He's really funny in this! Jingle All the Way is about a busy father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who has little time for his wife and young son; he leaves getting his son's Christmas present until the last minute. The toy his son is after is a Turbo Man action doll, which is the fastest selling toy and a nightmare to get hold of! Arnie has to get hold of the doll on Christmas Eve and he goes to hell and back to get a Turbo Man doll. Like I said it's super predictable, but it's fun and gets you in the Christmas spirit. It's got good morals and it's pretty amusing. Sinbad is also hilarious in this, as Arnie's rival who also wants to get a Turbo Man doll for his son. I don't think that this film suits any other occasion than Christmas though. I'm saving it for next Christmas.
