Review of Jindabyne (2006) by Philip C — 09 Jun 2007
Gabriel Byrne is particularly good in this Australian film based on a Raymond Carver short story. This was also made into a part of Robert Altman's sublime, meandering 'Short Cuts', but fuck me if I can remember it, need to watch that again! Back to Jindabyne, this is a very effective study of social relationships across sex and race divides which I think we all can relate to.
Also, I think I'm developing a rather strange MILF like attraction to Laura Linney :D.
