Review of Jim: The James Foley Story (2016) by Jake L — 18 Dec 2018

The James Foley Film was a very good film. I think everyone should watch it because it is so important for people to see both the true evil in this world and to recognize the people working to expose it. Journalist are the main target of oppressive regimes because they know that they can get the point across and spread the word on how evil their government is. The thing that got me the most about this film is that James managed to keep his faith and his bright spirit despite all of the torture he and the other journalists went through.

Bravery comes in all shapes and sizes, but for these men to be able to tell their stories and do it with such courage deserves the Nobel Prize. At the end of this film, when the showed James facing execution at the hands of Isis and saying things we knew he did not believe in, it was very scary because it was absolutely evil that anyone or any government could try to push their beliefs on someone who knows he will not live and make those his final words. My deepest prayers and apologies go to Foley's for the loss of their son and to any family who have ever suffered from this kind of situation.

As a high school journalist I found this very helpful and very eye opening and am very very thankful for the brave journalist that risk their lives just to write a good story.
