Review of Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001) by Jason F — 18 Jul 2007

I'm giving this a higher rating than it probably deserves. I haven't seen a campy piece of moose shit like this in years!!! It is so worth renting... that is if you like watching unwatchable movies that are only watchable because they're so incredibly crappy they make you giggle.

The story was pitiful, the acting was worse, the effects were OK for 1973 (just ok) and the action was mediocre at best... but... and this is a big BUT... they did have: a resurected vampire killing Jesus, a musical number as Jesus gets a make over and rides a skateboard and a luchadore! I am so glad I rented this and anyone who likes schloky camp films should definitely see it.

.. but get in the right frame of mind... drunk, stoned and with a good group of like minded funny friends who'll join you in turning this into your own personal Mystery Science Theatre 3000 event!.

.. y'know, it's really funny to think that this movie had funding, (however little it was), and that means they pitched this concept and people bought into it.
