Review of Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) by Barry K — 10 Feb 2008

I don't know what evangelical moron wrote this synopsis (you know, the guys who say their Jesus is like Rambo...) but what an idiotic thing to say... "a wimpy looking jesus".

Earlier tonight I saw Ted Neeley play Jesus live in the broadway touring production, and he blew the roof off the place! Completely amazing that 35 years after starring in the film, (and at 64 yrs. old!) he's still hitting all the mind shattering notes with the clarity and soul he did back then. Gotta make me wonder if maybe a higher power isn't preserving something he sees as a good thing.
