Review of Jersey Girl (2004) by Tommy M — 01 Mar 2009
The acting is kind of shaky at certain points, but I honestly don't get why anyone would ever think of this as "atrocious." Sure, Jennifer Lopez has a cameo sized role, but it's not like she's ever made a bigger one work before.
I was quite amazed at how Smith toned down the language without it being obvious that he's better at making more explicit material. He had a purpose amidst the humor, and he reached it successfully; therefore, he is truly a filmmaker to be taken seriously.
