Review of Jersey Girl (2004) by Matthew F — 21 Aug 2009
A sweet-natured film that's touching and funny, possibly Kevin Smith's lightest movie ever. George Carlin is funny and makes you think, "I wish my children had a grandpa like that," and Ben Afflecks performance is great.
This movie can attract all kinds of audiences, some looking for a comedy, some looking for a nice parent to parent film, and some who want to watch it with the family. The mixture of comedy and some tragedy, makes a good family film, as long as the kids are teenagers.
