Often with period movies, its more interesting to see the context of the period as much as the plot being presented. This doesn't really present either greatly, but it jumps around enough to keep you involved (mostly).

That would also be its downfall as all the jumping around leaves it disjointed at times and the characters distant. It is a ok attempt at telling a band's story, but it could have been more focused.
