12/19/15 This very much has the feel that it was adapted from a Broadway production. The story feels very generic at the beginning, and the acting feels over the top- pretty much like Broadway. The story does get a little deeper half way through or so.
It was a fine film to watch as somewhat of a background distraction. Nothing earth shattering. I'm not a 4 Seasons fan, but everyone knows a lot of these songs and they are fun to hear on the big screen.
So it was pleasurable, but there are better films out there.
