Review of Jerry Maguire (1996) by Adler N — 18 Dec 2010
A story that has been recycled on and on nowadays. But back then, this film would definitely have been extremely popular. Emotional, inspiring but not preachy, this would've been my pick of one of the best movies of 80's.
Cruise was fantastic. Edgy at times, his character is the one who really holds the movies together. Along with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Renee Zellweger, Cruise manages to capture the 'moment'. In case you don't know, this is a really good plot which centers around a sports agent who gets all 'goody' and is fired after. He now only has one 'customer' and he relies on him, as like otherwise. The rest is for you to figure out, of course.
There are many things in the movies that we would not believe in, but still, it is very touching.
Personally*... It even had the cute kid!
