Review of Jeremiah Johnson (1972) by Mathew S — 26 Mar 2013
Perhaps the most brilliant aspect of this story is that Johnson's need to get away from civilization is never put on display. Instead, he keeps his justification to himself, yet his experiences are always there in his eyes.
His pain is expertly carried by Redford, and that's all before the movie is five minutes in. The rest of the story is the stuff of legend.
