Review of Jeremiah Johnson (1972) by John H — 11 Mar 2013
There really are no words to describe how magnificently the landscape and feel of it are captured. The story feels real, like you're in it, and the pace feels natural. You can get lost in this film, and be happy you did. I don't think there's anything that can compare; this is THEE mountain pioneer film and I struggle to imagine how anyone today could match it.
Edit: I'd like to second what another reviewer said about the musical score; it is a real treat.
