Wonderful little tale of the trailblazer mountain men who opened up the wilds of the American frontier. Redford delivers a good performance along with some memorable characters.
This predates Dances With Wolves by 2 decades but it also offers a more realistic and humane film treatment of the American Indian.
Very enjoyable story and holds up well to repeated viewings!
