Review of Jeremiah Johnson (1972) by Ray N — 07 Jul 2008
I've loved this movie since the first time I saw it. Stunning Utah scenery (I've hiked around in this country myself). Brutally honest and authentic. Redford's best performance and one of Pollack's best films.
One of the few scripts by rightwinger John Milius that leaves out the propaganda. And I can't leave out what a joy it is to watch the legendary Will Geer as an old grizzly hunter.
