Review of Jenny's Wedding (2015) by Maggie T — 16 Mar 2017
It is very rare I will rewatch a movie more than five times, but I did with this one. All I can say is WOW. This movie has become a staple in our household's library for me. I have to watch it alone in the privacy of my van, while my kids are at hockey practice, because of its homoSexual content.
I would like to show it to my children once they are adults who can deal with such things. I get so emotionally involved because of the oscaar worthy perfomance from the mom, the sister and jenny herself.
The dad was alright, too. I was really hoping Jenny would listen to her parents by the end of the movie, but I like the sad ending. The scene where the mom yells and slams the table is beautiful and the quirky and joful music really adds a bipolar air to an already classic film.
(I am bipolar. The grass thing was so good it will stick with me until I have GRASS growing over my grave. The grass on my grave will be green though beacuse my teenege daughter hates me. :( Movie is nice escape, puts me through heaven and hell and lets me live out my guilty fantasy of wanting to be a lezbien.
don't tell hubby!!! lol hot hot hot.
