There was a subgenre in the 80s, informally titled "my best friend is a ______" movie. Today, it's "my boyfriend is a ________". Jennifer's Body pays the best tribute possible to those movies.
I wasn't a fan of Diablo Cody's ear-scratchingly "hip" dialogue in JUNO, but here, she's found a great balance. I'll admit a lot of the fun here is watching Megan Fox. A lot of people won't give her the benefit of the doubt, but in this movie, I can't help but think she's parodying herself.
She's great, regardless. Big thumbs up.
