Review of Jem and the Holograms (2015) by Grant W — 22 Oct 2015
Long and boring. I took my two daughters to see a matinee of Jem & The Holograms. It looked like a movie they would enjoy. I vaguely remember the cartoon and Jon Chu's directed the decent G.I. Joe movie so I didn't think it would be that bad.
I was wrong. My daughters were bored out of their minds. It's a lot of talking, dull songs and a singing robot. I'm not kidding. It's 2 hours of two plots forced together with a large emphasis on social media.
The trailer makes it look better than it is.
