Review of Jem and the Holograms (2015) by Marcmyworks — 05 Nov 2015
It was tough but I truly watched this film without thinking of the source material, and though there were parts that were quite touching, this whole film came off as lazy. YouTube clips unrelated to the film, but edited down and filtered throughout, as well using Google Maps to show the location of the next scene just come across as a director who did not care.
The only redeeming part of this film is the mid-credits scene that open up a potentially amazing sequel, however the box office numbers show us that this will not happen.
