Review of Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2012) by Duncan C — 05 Oct 2012
I didn't like the Christian film, Signs, and when (at the very beginning of, Jeff, Who Lives At Home) Jeff expresses his idolisation of Signs, it was immediately apparent that I would not enjoy, J.
W.L.A.H. I watched on to see the Christian motif of water feature so blatantly I felt as though the filmmakers were never schooled in the art of subtlety and were all too eager to express their religious beliefs.
The lead character, Jeff, believes in signs, and destiny and wasting his life away in his mother's basement; a woman that has financially supported him for 30 years; while she works, he smokes bongs.
The guy is stupid and pathetic and I struggled to find any character virtues that would make me enjoy this film.
