My Review.

"THE FIRST STEP TO FINDING YOUR DESTINY IS LEAVING YOUR MOTHER'S BASEMENT.".

The Stay at home version of Ted(from How I met Your Mother)is played by Jason Segel in this heartfelt comedy, that I barely remember laughing at having just finished watching it but it is still one of the best films I have seen in my life.

The film is about Jeff who(by the title)lives at home under his mother's basement, with no job or car. He gets two phone calls one of them asking about a guy named Kevin, and the other being from his mother who asks him to buy some wood glue. On his way to the store to buy wood glue, Jeff looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life.

I love the opening sequence, its got a beautiful score that makes it feel like you know what of lighthearted comedy your about to watch with some cool title cards of the people associated with the film. It has a sense of richness being displayed in that sequence alone.

I like the character of Jeff, he's a stay at home version of Ted Mosbey from How I met your Mother. Jeff is on the other hand played by Jason Segel instead of Josh Radnor. I like Jason Segels performance. I thought that he did very well,it was like he was playing Marshall, when he was upset and depressed when Lilly left. You just felt something in Jeff in this film and you might get a little bit of humor out it as well. His brother Pat however is a success, he doesn't live with their mother of course,he has a job,a car,and a wife who he is having relationship problems and he is very ungrateful by Jeff's eyes. Their mother is mostly seen at work throughout the film, but she gets a message on her her messenger at work from an anonymous secret admirer. She wishes to find out who this person may be.

I felt like that the character of Jeff was me in a sense a stay at home person, who doesn't drive, has barely anyone to call friend, and just keeps waiting to found out what his destiny is,but has to take a step outside. That's why I like this film so much and include it with all of my other favorite films. It's charming, heartfelt, and at times humorous with a great cast and great characters behind it.

I give Jeff, Who Lives at Home a five out of five.
