Review of Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2012) by Randy C — 15 May 2018
Indie all the way. Very funny at times, and quite poignant at others. Never thought a comedy movie could riff so effectively on M. Night Shyamalan's movie Signs and the the theme that everything happens for a reason and we're all connected, so be patient and pure of heart and you will achieve your true destiny.
Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer are luminous in key supporting roles. And Segel is terrific in the lead. Ed Helms is good too, though I found some of his attempts to catch his wife cheating to be a bit too over the top and belonging more in a Hangover movie.
