A film that seems to wanna be like a modern texas chainsaw massacre. Theres an attempt at slow burn menace with walkin round / drivin round slowly in a secluded area with trees and findin someone whos a bit weiiiirrrddd.
But theres no air of menace and tension. It gets a bit boring and the main characters are too arguey to really care about em. The whole "were siblings and we argue" thing gets tired reaally early on.
It picks up though whenever the admittedly creepy monster thing is actually on screen and the whistly version of the song is used to unsettling effect. It would have been better if they had not gone for the slow burner approach and made it a full on chase thing.
