Review of Jeepers Creepers (1939) by Guillaume H — 01 Aug 2016
I really like the general texture of this movie, its hushed tones and sun drenched lighting. The script, storywise, is ok, if you can wave past the endless bad decisions, but character wise... its pretty bad.
Justin Long's Darry is unbearable, he is so shrill and dumb you kinda want to punch him, and there's only so much you can blame on brother sister bickering. I know stupid actions are the motor of such horror stories but to that degree? Come on.
... So this is a scrambled opportunity that really should have been better but its still a bit above the average horror fare of the same era.
