Review of Jean de Florette (1986) by Paul T — 16 May 2007
A charming and lyrical movie following the semi-comical adventures of a man who moves his family from the city to rural France to run an inherited farm, and the local villagers who want to stop him so they can have the land.
The story follows both sides of the story, and is excellent until the "end of part one" before the end credits - the story is concluded in Manon de Sources.
