My favorite French film. Beautiful cinematography shows off the Provence region of France. Fable-like story of greed and oppression. To some it might be hard to watch as two accomplices slowly squeeze the joie de vivre out of their neighbor.
Must watch Manon des Sources soon after to complete the story.
