Gerard Depardieu inherits a farm, locals block up his spring so they can get the land off him, things go from bad to worse.
Depardieu is fantastic as Jean & Ernestine Mazurowna as the young Manon.
Beautiful landscapes, great music, gentle & simple but moving overall.
