Review of Jean de Florette (1986) by Werewolf K — 17 Feb 2010
This is a two part film (Jean De Florette & Manon des Sources) and I watch them both sequentially so it was like a really long movie that I found really interesting and very genuine. It depicted all aspects of human nature without forcing it but simply telling the story with superb directing and exceptional performances. I couldn't help but thinking the similarities with Greek tragedy. Especially during the last part.
Both films are rated as one.
