Review of JCVD (2008) by Mason R — 25 Feb 2010
I'm going to say this slowly...Van Damme...made...a good...movie...Man, that feels weird saying. It's true though. Its interesting and honest. Van Damme can ACTUALLY act...granted he was playing himself but still, he did it.
There are moments where you feel genuine pity for JC as a character and as himself. There is truth and soul in his performance and it shows through in spades. I liked this film, for its humor, it's honesty, and it's amazing ability to make me give a Van Damme.
B+.
